Privacy Policy

Overview

We collect the minimum information needed to run ThemiSign: your account details, the documents you send for signing, information about the people who sign them, and basic analytics about how our website is used. We don't sell your personal information, and we don't share it with third parties except where this policy says so.

Information we collect

Depending on how you use ThemiSign, we collect:

• Account information: Your name, email address, password (stored hashed, never in plain text), and billing details when you subscribe to a paid plan.
• Document content: The files you upload for signing, the fields you place on them, and the recipients you add.
• Signer information: A signer's name, email address, IP address, the time they viewed or signed a document, and their signature (typed, drawn, or clicked).
• Usage data: Basic information about how the website and app are used, collected via Google Analytics — see the section below.

How we use information

We use the information above to:

• Provide the signing platform — creating documents, routing them to signers, and recording each step in an audit trail.
• Operate your account, process payments, and send service-related emails (such as "a document is ready for your signature").
• Understand and improve how ThemiSign is used, through aggregate analytics.
• Detect, prevent, and respond to fraud, abuse, or security issues.
• Meet legal obligations, including retaining signing records where required by law.

Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use our website and app — for example, which pages are viewed and roughly how much traffic we get. Google Analytics uses cookies (see our Cookie Policy) and collects information such as your IP address, browser, device, and pages visited. This data is processed by Google on our behalf, subject to Google's Privacy Policy.

Google Analytics is currently the only third-party analytics or advertising tool we use. We don't use Google Analytics data to identify individual signers on documents processed through ThemiSign.

Sharing your information

We don't sell your personal information. We share it only with:

• Service providers that help us run ThemiSign, such as our hosting provider, email delivery provider, payment processor, and Google Analytics.
• The other parties to a document you send for signing (each recipient sees the document and who else is signing it).
• Authorities, if required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, and property of ThemiSign or others.
• A successor entity, if ThemiSign is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets — we'd notify you first.

Data retention

We keep account information for as long as your account is active. Signed documents and their audit trails are kept so you and your signers can retrieve them later, and to preserve the record ESIGN Act / UETA compliance depends on. If you close your account, we delete or anonymize personal information within a reasonable period, except where we need to keep it to meet a legal obligation or resolve a dispute.

Security

Documents are transmitted over encrypted connections, and passwords are stored hashed, never in plain text. We invest in security on an ongoing basis as we grow, but no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security.

Your rights & choices

You can ask us to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you by contacting us below. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under local privacy laws (for example, the GDPR in the EU/UK or the CCPA in California) — we'll respond to any request in accordance with the law that applies to you.

To opt out of Google Analytics specifically, you can install Google's opt-out browser add-on, or manage cookies through your browser settings as described in our Cookie Policy.

Children's privacy

ThemiSign is intended for business use and is not directed at children. We don't knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we'll remove it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as ThemiSign grows. If we make material changes, we'll update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, let you know by email or through the app.
